Principal’s Message

Principal Iris Chapa brings over 22 years of educational leadership experience, with a strong commitment to supporting students who may have faced challenges in traditional school settings. Her belief in second chances, personal growth, and authentic relationships guides the mission of our campus.

Dear Students, Families, Staff, and Community Partners,

Welcome to Tuloso-Midway Academic Career Center, a campus dedicated to providing meaningful pathways for students to re-engage in their education, build confidence, and achieve success. It is my honor to serve as principal of a school where we recognize that every student has a unique story, and every student deserves the opportunity to succeed.

Our campus is specifically designed to support students who may have experienced barriers in their educational journey. We offer personalized credit recovery options to help students get back on track toward graduation at their own pace. Additionally, our flexible and alternative scheduling allows students to balance school with work, family responsibilities, health needs, or other life circumstances that impact their learning environment.

At Tuloso-Midway Academic Career Center, we believe that success looks different for each student. Our educators and staff strive to create a welcoming, supportive, and structured environment where students are encouraged to take ownership of their future. We are committed to helping students develop academic readiness, career skills, and personal resilience—whether their next step is entering the workforce, enrolling in college, joining the military, or pursuing specialized training programs.

As we begin this school year, I invite you to stay connected and engage with our campus community. By working together—students, families, staff, and partners—we can ensure that every student has the tools and support needed to achieve their goals and move forward with confidence.

Respectfully,
Iris T. Chapa, Principal
